Remembrance Day

Today we met for the whole school collective worship to talk about Remembrance Day. We explored how poppies have changed overtime and why we wear them each year. We also spoke about the significance of the position of the leaf which points towards 11 o'clock to symbolise the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the date that the war ended. Thank you to members of our School Ethos Council who took the lead on selling poppies over the last couple of weeks.
