Welcome
We are situated in the lovely village of Thorncombe which is just a few miles from the towns of Chard, Axminster and Crewkerne. We make good use of our extensive outdoor grounds and have access to local countryside to enhance the delivery of our broad and balanced curriculum.
Founded in 1876, Thorncombe St Mary’s is one of Dorset’s longest established primary schools and is at the heart of the local community it serves. Following a successfully managed partnership with Marshwood CE Primary Academy, our school converted to join the Acorn Multi Academy Trust in 2021. Thorncombe St Mary's is proud to be a recognised feeder school of The Woodroffe School in Lyme Regis.
